The grassland is maintained to the highest standards throughout the year, and all the fields are cleared of droppings each day as part of our worming program. The fields run alongside the driveway and surround the yard,
they all have post and rail fencing with electric, many of the fence lines have established hedgerows growing alongside and most of the fields have some shelter from trees. Automatic troughs are sited in the fields providing 24hr water supply. There are 75 acres of pasture in total at Church House Farm.
Horses are grazed during the day throughout the Winter. However during excessively wet periods it may be necessary to reduce the turnout for reasons of practicality and safety. Under such circumstances all horses will be given a good leg-stretch on the undercover horsewalker. We now have four surfaced Winter Turnout paddocks so the horses can get out and have a roll and a stretch whatever the weather!
During Summer the horses are able to live out at night and come in during the day for a snooze in the cool.
